Do Ho Suh x Tate 'Public Figures'
This moving iteration of Public Figures by acclaimed artist Do Ho Suh builds on the original installation’s exploration of identity, collectivity, and visibility. Displayed at Tate Modern as part of Do Ho Suh: Walk The House, the sculpture is accompanied by a short film documenting its journey and transformation. Positioned near the entrance to the exhibition, the work invites reflection on movement, displacement, and the structures we carry with us.

My Role Technical Designer
The Project
This project involved the technical development of a new, mobile version of Public Figures by Do Ho Suh, presented at Tate Modern as part of the exhibition Walk The House.
I was responsible for producing the CAD drawings for the moulds and internal metalwork, supporting both fabrication and client sign-off. Working closely with the artist’s studio and the fabrication team, I ensured structural accuracy and practicality for transport and reassembly. This iteration included considerations for movement and relocation, with bespoke internal supports designed to secure the sculpture while maintaining its visual lightness.
